n two weeks time, I am taking a trip to the two greatest cigar cities in the U.S., Tampa and Miami. I am excited because I am sure I will have just dozens and dozens of sightings of attractive ladies smoking cigars. I’ll have to be cool about it for much of the time, since I’ll be hanging with friends of mine, both men and women, who are not fetishists and don’t know about my fetish. But here are some of the highlights coming up:
(1) March 6 and 7, Bay Area Renaissance Festival, Tampa. The Tampa Ren Fest is very smoke-friendly, cigar-friendly even. First of all, they have a booth that sells cigars, and in the past I’ve seen numerous women, especially middle-aged women, buy cigars from the booth, light up, and walk away puffing happily.Second, every day they have a Renaissance Smoker in an outdoor patio next to a pub. For $10.00, you get two beers, two local Tampa cigars, and some snacks, and some actors entertain you while you smoke and drink. The last time I went to the Smoker, among the maybe 30 people attending, I saw about 6 or 7 women smoking cigars. Afterward, I ran into one of the women who’d been smoking there, and we talked a little about the cigars available at the Faire. This time I will make sure to attend the Smoker both days I am at the Faire.
(2) March 8-13, Ybor City, Tampa. In Tampa is a kind of touristy area where a lot of the students hang out called Ybor City. It is the site of where the old cigar industry was in Tampa more than 100 years ago. So in addition to clubs that allow cigar-smoking, there are cigar stores, lounges, cafes and so forth. I’ll have a couple days at the beginning of the week to myself, one day with an old friend, and then my friend from NYC is arriving. During the week, I’m sure I will spend a lot of time hanging around Ybor City taking in the Tampa cigar culture that exists at this point, including hopefully some of the pretty young things who have taken up smoking cigars!
(3) March 14-21, Little Havana and elsewhere, Miami. For a good solid week I’ll be hanging out in Miami getting a solid dose of the cigar culture there, including a number of places that are known to be frequently by lots of lovely ladies that love to smoke cigars.
There are now a number of cigar businesses that are owned by ladies, mostly Cubanas, and as you can imagine, they all know each other, and one day, a woman we know from the cigar industry is going to give us a tour of the highlights of Little Havana, including the businesses owned by her friends.
So between one thing and another, I am sure we will run into a lot of lovely ladies smoking cigars in Miami. I am excited!
I will be sure to keep a diary of my experiences on my trip, including making note of the better sightings. If I can take any pictures I will, though I warn you, my camera is not the greatest. In any case, I can’t wait to get out of frigid New York City and spend two weeks in balmy Florida!
